Significance

Quinocarcin (and its derivatives) have antiproliferative activity against lymphocytic leukemia, non-small cell lung cancer and adenocarcinoma. The key step is the annulation of the aryne derived from silyl aryltriflate G with N-acyl enamine F to give the isoquinoline H.
