Youichi Kumagai et al. A newly developed continuous zoom-focus endocytoscope
Authors from Japan report on the characteristics of a novel continuous zoom-focus
endocytoscopy system (ECS) and describe ist performance in the examination of esophageal
cancer, gastric cancer, and duodenal adenomas. Using different vital stains, images
with high resolution and magnification power were obtained with sharp delineation
of nuclear abnormalities. The clinical application of this new ECS remains to be established.
