„Proben zeigen in unterschiedlicher Ausprägung Ablagerungspartikel, sodass sich die Forderung nach einer besseren Vorreinigung und Verpackungsart ergibt.“ Dieser Satz könnte im Ergebnisbericht einer Analyse von 135 Implantaten aus dem vergangenen Jahr stehen [1]. Allerdings stammt das Zitat aus einer Arbeit von Professor Gerhard Wahl, der sich 1987 mit dem gleichen Thema beschäftigt hatte [2]. Wie kann es sein, dass wir 30 Jahre später nahezu die gleichen Rückstände auf steril verpackten Implantaten finden?
