Eine lebensbedrohliche Erkrankung wie Krebs geht oft mit erheblichen psychischen und sozialen Belastungen einher. Dazu gehören auch massive Änderungen der partnerschaftlichen Funktionsfähigkeit hinsichtlich Unterstützung, Rollenverteilung und Sexualität. Eine Reihe von partnerschaftlichen Interventionen fokussiert deshalb darauf, Paare bei der Bewältigung der Belastungen während und nach einer Krebserkrankung zu unterstützen.
