We appreciate the interest of Wang et al. and their opinions regarding our report [1]. In the paper, we reported the technical details and short-term safety results from a pilot study of peroral endoscopic myotomy with the addition of endoscopic fundoplication (POEM + F). POEM + F was actually completed in all 21 consecutive cases without complications. Morphological reinforcement of the mucosal flap valve was achieved in all cases. Endoscopically, the morphology appeared very similar to the arrangement after Dor fundoplication.

As mentioned by Wang et al., mid- and long-term results, and functional evaluation including 24-hour impedance pH monitoring, should be arranged and reported prospectively in the future.
