Rauchverzicht rund um orthopädisch/unfallchirurgische Operationen: ein wesentlicher Faktor zur Ergebnisverbesserung

Einführung

Technische Entwicklungen haben in den letzten Jahrzehnten die orthopädisch/unfallchirurgische Therapie extrem erfolgreich werden lassen. So wurde zum Beispiel die Implantation einer Hüftendoprothese zur erfolgreichsten Operation des Jahrhunderts in allen Bereichen erklärt. Eine regelmäßige Kontrolle z. B. durch Endoprothesenregister und Traumaregister sowie durch Abteilungszertifizierungen, wie Endocert, haben die Ergebnisse weiter verbessert und die Sicherheit bei diesen Operationen nochmals wesentlich erhöht.
