Die laterale Ellenbogentendinopathie („Tennisarm“) hat eine Inzidenz von bis zu 3 % pro Jahr [1]. Wiederholte Belastungen der Unterarm-Extensoren wie repetitive Drehbewegung oder kraftvolles Greifen können zu den typischen Schmerzen führen [2]. Experten gehen davon aus, dass es sich um eine degenerative Erkrankung handelt, bei der die Heilungsantwort im entsprechenden Gewebe versagt [3].
