Significance

Further to previous research concerning 1,2-dehydrohalogenations of bromo­cyclopropanes (Tetrahedron 2008, 64, 8610; Synthesis2009, 1477), the authors now provide a diastereoselective procedure for the inter- and ­intramolecular formal substitution of bromocyclopropanes with oxygen- and nitrogen-based nucleophiles.
