Significance

A regioselective C-H bond arylation at the C2 position of electron-deficient hetero­arenes, such as quinolines, isoquinolines, or ­pyridines, is achieved using Ni(cod)2/Cy3P as ­catalyst. Several functionalities such as methoxy, dimethylamino, or chloro substituents are tolerated.
