Significance

The CONHC6F5 amide group was shown to efficiently direct Csp³-H arylation in both Pd(II)/Pd(IV) and Pd(0)/Pd(II) catalytic cycles. Thus, this opens a new efficient access to the C-H functionalization of aliphatic carboxylic acid derived substrates possessing α-hydrogen atoms.
