Significance

The authors report a highly enan­tioselective N,N′-dioxide-nickel complex catalyzed Michael addition of cyclic 1,3-dicarbonyl compounds to unsaturated keto esters. The corresponding adducts bearing warfarin analogues were obtained in good yields and enantioselectivities.
