The Guest Editor of this issue of Seminars in Neurology is Tracey Cho, M.D., M.A. Dr. Cho is Assistant Professor of Neurology at the Harvard Medical School, and Associate Director of the Harvard Partners Neurology Residency, the Massachusetts General Hospital Neurology Infectious Diseases Program, and the Neurology Clerkship.

He graduated magna cum laude from Harvard University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Science. He followed this with a Masters degree from Harvard University before going to Medical School at Yale University. He did his internship in internal medicine at the Massachusetts General Hospital followed by a Neurology Residency at the Massachusetts General Hospital and the Brigham and Women's Hospital. He was Chief Resident in the Partners Neurology Residency Program, and then did a Fellowship at the Massachusetts General Hospital with a focus on neurologic infectious diseases.

Dr. Cho is dedicated and passionate about both the education of medical students and residents and the study of neurologic infectious diseases. He has implemented a unique program to improve medical student neurology bedside training while simultaneously training neurology residents to be better teachers. The medical students and residents are very fond of him, and so many of them have told me how much his interest in their education means to them. He is also highly regarded by his colleagues in neurologic infectious diseases. He is a creative and innovative scholar. He has published on many different topics in neurologic infectious diseases. He discusses difficult neurologic infection cases with HIV providers in South Africa through the HIV On-Line Provider Education (HOPE) teleconference. I asked him to be the Guest Editor of this issue of Seminars in Neurology because of the remarkable contributions he has already made in the beginning of what will be a distinguished career.

We are grateful to Dr. Cho and to all of the contributors to this issue of Seminars in Neurology for their expertise and courage to provide manuscripts on controversial and underpublished topics in central nervous system infectious diseases.
