Die antimikrobielle photodynamische Therapie als adjuvante minimal-invasive Parodontitis- und Periimplantitistherapie – Eine longitudinale Kohortenstudie aus der Praxis: 5-Jahresergebnisse

Die schonende Behandlung von Patienten mit rezidivierender chronischer oder aggressiver Parodontitis stellt die klinische Praxis auch heute noch vor große Herausforderungen. Die Ergebnisse eines neuen Behandlungskonzepts wurde bei 70 Patienten mit 1683 Einheiten (Zähne + Implantate) und der Diagnose rezidivierende chronische oder aggressive Parodontitis oder Periimplantitis dokumentiert. Alle Patienten befanden sich bereits zwischen 2 und 19 Jahren (Durchschnitt: 14 Jahre) in parodontologischer Betreuung, zeigten jedoch rezidivierende Krankheitsverläufe. Dabei wurde der klinische Effekt der Anwendung der antimikrobiellen photodynamischen Therapie unter Berücksichtigung von klinischem Verlauf und der bakteriellen Flora über einen Zeitraum von 5 Jahren untersucht.
