Zusammenfassung

Die Lichttherapie ist ein immer noch unterschätztes Verfahren zur (komplementären) Behandlung von Depressionen. Für saisonale Winterdepression, Altersdepression, aber auch mono- und bipolare Depression liegt eine gute Evidenz vor.

Der Beitrag fasst kompakt zusammen, worauf die Wirkung beruht, welche Beleuchtungsstärken und Wellenlängen entscheidend sind und wann der beste Applikationszeitpunkt für die Lichttherapie ist.
