The Guest Editor of this issue of Seminars in Neurology Dr. Steven K. Feske from the Brigham and Women's Hospital, Harvard Medical School, in Boston, MA.

Dr. Feske is Associate Professor of Neurology at Harvard Medical School. He received his BS in Zoology from Louisiana State University (LSU), followed by his MD also from LSU. He first completed a residency in Internal Medicine at Boston University Hospital, followed by his residency in Neurology at the Harvard Longwood Program, also serving as chief resident. He has remained on faculty at the Brigham and Women's Hospital since 1993, and has established himself as one of the most revered clinicians and educators. He has touched the lives of many students, residents, and junior faculty over the years, and served as the Program Director for the combined Harvard Neurology Residency (Brigham and Women's Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital) from 2000 to 2008. He is a renowned stroke and neurocritical care specialist, and is the Chief of the Stroke Division in the Neurology Department, the Director for Ischemic Stroke at the Cushing Neurosurgical Outcomes Center at Harvard, and the Medical Director of the Comprehensive Stroke Center at the Brigham and Women's Hospital.

Dr. Feske has had a longstanding interest in Women's Issues in Neurology, and he was an obvious choice to guest edit this issue of Seminars. He has gathered an outstanding group of authors, and I'm quite sure you'll find this issue to be one of the most valuable in your collection. They beautifully discuss the issues that affect women with or at risk for neurological disease, including specific issues that pregnant women face. I am personally indebted to Steve, not only for agreeing to guest edit this issue expertly, but much more for his years of personal friendship and mentorship.
