Alopecia Areata Treated with Homoeopathy

A 17-year-old male patient presented with complaints of hair loss, itching on frontal region of scalp with anxiety for the last 1 year. The hair loss diagnosed with alopecia areata. The area of hair loss was itchy and there was aggravation from warmth and in the morning.

  • Remedy selected: Silicea 1M—one dose weekly for 4 weeks, followed by Fluoricum acidum 30C—three doses per day for 15 days.

  • After 15 days, Fluoricum acidum 30C was stopped and followed by placebo.

  • After 1.5 month: disappearance of alopecia areata ([Figs. 1] [2] [3]).
