Zusammenfassung

Die verbreitete Nutzung nicht invasiver Techniken zur Darstellung der intrakraniellen Gefäße erhöht die Anzahl der zufällig entdeckten intrakraniellen Aneurysmen. Die vorliegende Übersichtsarbeit beantwortet die Fragen nach der Entstehung, dem Rupturrisiko und den Behandlungsoptionen intrakranieller Aneurysmen. Abschließend werden Empfehlungen zum therapeutischen Vorgehen in Abhängigkeit vom individuellen Risikoprofil gegeben.

Abstract

Non-invasive or minimal invasive imaging techniques, such as CTA and MRA, are widely used and lead to an increasing number of incidentally diagnosed intracranial aneurysms. This review answers questions regarding pathogenesis, risk of rupture and treatment options. In conclusion, treatment guidelines based on the individual's risk profile are presented.
