Abstract

In recent years, the techniques of contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance angiography, cine phase-contrast magnetic resonance imaging, and in-vivo magnetic resonance oximetry have been used in the diagnosis of visceral vascular diseases. The combination of these techniques can provide both anatomical and physiological information concerning the visceral circulation, and has the potential to revolutionize the work-up in patients with acute and chronic mesenteric ischemia.
