In this context, the first 2,3,4,5-tetraalkynylfurans and 2,3,5-trialkynylfurans were prepared. 2,3,4,5-Tetraalkynylfurans and 2,5-dialkynyl-3,4-diarylfurans show interesting fluorescence properties.
