Bei Patienten mit einer stabilen koronaren Herzkrankheit (KHK) soll mithilfe geeigneter Therapien das Sterberisiko reduziert und ischämischen Ereignissen vorgebeugt werden. D. J. Maron et al. haben nun bei KHK-Patienten, die bereits moderate oder schwere Ischämien aufwiesen, untersucht, ob eine invasive Intervention plus medikamentöser Therapie gegenüber einer konservativen Strategie die klinischen Outcomes verbessert.
