Zusammenfassung

Das akute Nierenversagen wird weiterhin durch die die Urinausscheidung und das Serum-Kreatinin als Parameter der Nierenfunktion definiert. Neue Biomarker können sinnvolle Ergänzungen im Hinblick auf die Pathogenese und Prognose sein. Eine Risikostratifizierung kann ebenfalls zur Identifikation gefährdeter Patienten beitragen und ist insbesondere aufgrund der eingeschränkten therapeutischen Optionen und der verheerenden Langzeitfolgen von besonderer Wichtigkeit.

Abstract

Acute kidney injury is still defined by the functional parameters diuresis and serum creatinine. New biomarkers can be sensible additions for the detection of pathogenesis and prognosis. Risk stratification is also very useful for identification of patients at risk for the developement of acute kidney injury. This is of increased imprtance as ausal therapeutic treatments are rare and long-term effects are devasting.
