ABSTRACT

This article outlines the authors' experience in the placement of metallic stents in venous systems in the abdomen and chest. The techniques, results, and complications of placing metal stents in the superior vena cava, innominate vein, inferior vena cava, and iliofemoral veins are described, along with the indications for placement.
