Zusammenfassung
Es werden kurz die Indikationen zur Erhaltung der hinteren Gehörgangswand, zum Anlegen
einer Mastoidhöhle und zur Höhlenverkleinerung beschrieben.
Bei der Austrocknung einer Operationshöhle hat die Höhlengröße im Verhältnis zum Durchmesser
des Gehörgangseinganges eine besondere Bedeutung. Es wird daher auf die Bedeutung
der Gehörgangseingangsplastik hingewiesen.
Summary
The indications for conservation of the posterior wall of the auditory canal versus
mastoid cavity are described. For a dry cavity the relation of volume of cavity to
entrance of meatus is of considerable importance.
The necessity of meatoplasty is pointed out. Classical techniques described 100 years
ago can still be used today with only slight modifications.
