Summary
Cervical degenerative disease can be associated with disk herniations and stenosis. A subset of patients requires surgical intervention for persistent symptoms. A neurological examination combined with imaging is used to confirm the diagnosis. The choice of surgical approach is dictated by the location of the compression relative to the spinal cord, the extent of the stenosis, and the overall sagittal alignment.
