Abstract

Sinonasal trauma occurs in all age groups and may result in serious functional and aesthetic deformities. The anatomic relationships of the paranasal sinuses, brain, orbits, dentition, and lacrimal system make treatment of these injuries complex. Traditional open surgical approaches to the craniofacial skeleton are the mainstay of fracture repair. However, endoscopic and other minimally invasive techniques are now being utilized to manage a growing number of facial fractures. This chapter presents surgical algorithms and techniques for management of facial fractures involving the nasal bones, frontal sinus, and naso-orbito-ethmoid complex.
