Abstract

Congenital absence of Inferior vena cava is rarely encountered in day-to-day vascular practice. This diagnosis should be suspected in young patients with recurrent deep vein thrombosis in the absence of obvious thrombophilia and in some instances of failed transvenous catheterization. We present two illustrative cases from our recent clinical experience.
