Abstract

Hydrocephalus is one of the treatable sequelae of head injury. Onset of hydrocephalus is indicated by plateauing of recovery, or by neurological deterioration. Etiology can be linked to subarachnoid hemorrhage or infection. Ventriculoperitoneal shunting provides immediate improvement and long-termrelief.
