Bei Pferdestuten als saisonal polyöstrischen Tieren ist die Zuchtnutzung durch die Jahreszeit begrenzt, und dementsprechend ist eine Überprüfung der Geschlechtsgesundheit vor allem in der Saison von März bis Juli von besonderem Interesse. Im Folgenden soll die diagnostische Bedeutung von Uterusbiopsien und -tupfern in Verbindung mit den klinischen Untersuchungsbefunden dargestellt werden.
