Die Autotransplantation von Zähnen ist eine etablierte Therapieoption, die eine enge Zusammenarbeit in der Oralchirurgie, Kieferorthopädie und Zahnerhaltung voraussetzt. Die Erfolgsraten haben sich in der Zahntransplantation seit Jahren stetig verbessert. Dennoch muss die Indikation für eine erfolgreiche Transplantation kritisch gestellt werden, um Misserfolge und Komplikationen soweit wie möglich zu vermeiden.

Kernaussagen
  • Zahntransplantationen sind vor allem bei Kindern und Jugendlichen eine gute Therapiemöglichkeit, um fehlende Zähne zu ersetzen.

  • Die Erfolgsraten von Zahntransplantationen haben sich in den letzten Jahren aufgrund verbesserter Behandlungsmöglichkeiten und neuer Therapieansätze stetig verbessert.

  • Eine sorgfältige Diagnostik und die Auswahl des richtigen Zeitpunkts sind wichtig für eine erfolgreiche Transplantation.

  • Zusätzlich sind gewebeschonende operative Techniken, eine durchdachte Schnittführung, antiresorptive und regenerationsfördernde Medikamente sowie das postoperative Wundmanagement für eine erfolgreiche Therapie entscheidend.

  • Die Indikation für eine erfolgreiche Transplantation muss kritisch unter Berücksichtigung der klinischen und radiologischen Ausgangssituation gestellt werden.

  • Sowohl Molaren als auch Prämolaren und ggf. Milcheckzähne eignen sich zur Transplantation.
