Die photoneninduzierte photoakustische Spülmethode (PIPS/SWEEPS) in der klinisch-endodontischen Anwendung

Die herkömmliche Wurzelkanalbehandlung sieht eine chemomechanische Aufbereitung unter Spülung mit Natriumhypochlorit, Ethylendiamintetraessigsäure und Chlorhexidindigluconat vor. Eine vollständige Elimierung der Keime im Wurzelkanalsystem ist diesen bewährten Spüllösungen jedoch nicht möglich. Unterstützend kommen daher während der systematischen endodontischen Behandlung weitere Therapieoptionen, wie zum Beispiel die photoneninduzierte photoakustische Spülmethode (PIPS) zum Einsatz. Diese neuartige laseraktivierte Spülmethode könnte einen Fortschritt hinsichtlich der Keimzahlreduktion, sowie der Biofilm- und Debrisdesintegration sein.
