Zusammenfassung

Die nichtalkoholische Fettlebererkrankung ist die Manifestation des metabolischen Syndroms in der Leber. Häufig kann bereits in präadipösen Patienten eine Verfettung der Leber festgestellt werden, die mit deutlichen Veränderungen für den Stoffwechsel einhergeht, ohne dass sich bereits ein Diabetes oder eine kardiovaskuläre Erkrankung manifestiert hat. Eine frühzeitige Intervention – insbesondere im ernährungsmedizinischen Ansatz – hat hier eine herausragende Bedeutung ([ Abb. 1 ]).
