Statine in der Primärprävention – abhängig von Lebensalter und Komorbiditäten?

Ziel der retrospektiven Kohorten-Studie war, festzustellen, ob eine neu begonnene Behandlung mit Statinen bei älteren und sehr alten Erwachsenen mit oder ohne Diabetes mellitus Typ 2 (Dm2) mit einer Reduktion neu auftretender atherosklerotischer kardiovaskulärer Erkrankungen (CVD) oder der Gesamtsterblichkeit assoziiert ist. Zurückgegriffen wurde hierzu auf Daten des katalanischen Primary-Care-Systems aus der Zeit zwischen 2006 – 2015.
