ZUSAMMENFASSUNG

Es ist ein steigendes praktisches und wissenschaftliches Interesse an digitalen Gesundheitsanwendungen wie telemedizinischen Ansätzen zur Steigerung des Diabetesselbstmanagements (DSM) bei Diabetes mellitus Typ 2 zu beobachten. Neben der klinischen Wirksamkeit und Kosteneffektivität von Telemedizin sollten jedoch auch Faktoren, die die Akzeptanz von Telemedizinanwendungen beeinflussen, beachtet werden. Wissenschaftliche Studien legen dabei nahe, dass digitale Ansätze zur Verbesserung des Diabetesselbstmanagement auf behavioristischen Theorien basieren sollten. Eine langfristige Implementierung kann durch die Analyse akzeptanzfördernder Faktoren, wie individuellen Charakteristika des Endnutzers und dessen Einstellungen zu Eigenschaften der technischen Lösungen, unterstützt werden. Methodische Herausforderungen bei der Evaluation von telemedizinischen Anwendungen und deren heterogene Evaluationspraxis haben bisher zu einer limitierten Datenbasis geführt. Innovative Studiendesigns und konzertierte Evaluationsansätze können die steigende Verfügbarkeit digitaler Gesundheitsanwendungen durch evidenzbasierte Empfehlungen begleiten.
