Ein Portkatheter (Port) ist ein vollständig unter die Haut implantierter, dauerhafter zentraler Venenkatheter. Er besteht aus einem Reservoir mit einer Membran, die sich mit einer speziellen Nadel durch die Haut hindurch punktieren lässt. Ports kommen v. a. zur intermittierenden Gabe von Zytostatika bei Patienten mit Krebserkrankung zum Einsatz.
