Nosokomiale Pneumonien

Die nosokomiale Pneumonie ist die häufigste im Krankenhaus erworbene Infektion in Deutschland [1], [2], [53]. Dabei stehen nicht nur beatmungsassoziierte Pneumonien mit einer längeren Verweildauer, höheren Behandlungskosten und einer erhöhten Mortalität in Zusammenhang, sondern auch Pneumonien bei nicht beatmeten Patienten [40]. Es bleibt daher weiterhin eine große Herausforderung, durch neue präventive Ansätze und Bündelmaßnahmen die Inzidenz zu reduzieren.
