Bei der Atherosklerose ist die Einschätzung der Vulnerabilität der Plaques von großer Bedeutung. Die Studie untersuchte die Eignung der Ultraschall-Elastografie und Echogenität zur Differenzierung von Plaques bei asymptomatischen und symptomatischen Stenosen der Arteria carotis interna (ACI).
