Embolisation der synovialen Gefäße zur Schmerztherapie bei der Gonarthrose

Zusammenfassung

Im vorliegenden Artikel werden die Möglichkeiten der Schmerzbehandlung bei der Gonarthrose durch die Embolisation synovialer Gefäße dargestellt. Hierzu werden einleitend die Ursachen der Kniearthrose dargestellt sowie die momentan leitliniengerechte Behandlung erläutert. Viele Patienten haben Komorbiditäten und Komedikationen, welche die Anwendung von nichtsteroidalen Antirheumatika erschwert. Hier bietet sich eine gute Möglichkeit zur Embolisation.

Summary

The present article describes the possibilities of the embolization in the management of knee osteoarthritis. We present the etiology of knee osteoarthritis as well as the guideline orientated treatment. Many patients have comorbidities and comedications which does not allow the use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. Specially in this patient group the embolization seems to be a good option.
