Kommt ein Kind zu früh auf die Welt, benötigt es aufgrund seiner Unreife eine intensivmedizinische Betreuung. Obwohl sich die Versorgung der Kinder stark verbessert, leiden sowohl die Kinder als auch die Eltern unter der frühen Geburt und deren Folgen. Das Pflegekonzept NIDCAP soll die Frühgeborenen und deren Eltern in der Pflege unterstützen, um eine bestmögliche Entwicklung der Kinder und eine gute Unterstützung der Eltern zu ermöglichen.
