Abstract

Three orthodontic problems are corrected with the use of orthodontic miniscrews in modern orthodontic practice. This article explains the theoretical basics such as the problem of anchorage in biomechanics, and insertion site selection and uses clinical examples to highlight how molar protraction, open bite closure, and lower arch retraction can be achieved simply, successfully, and predictably.
