Introduction

COVID-19 is a SARS–CoV-2 syndrome that can involve all organs, including the circulatory system. Endothelial cell inflammation occurs within all blood vessels and contributes to pathological events, including thrombosis and vascular dysfunction [3]. The cutaneous manifestations of COVID-19 in children reported in the literature include chilblain-like lesions, erythema multiforme, urticaria, Kawasaki disease-like inflammatory multisystemic syndrome, and acute hemorrhagic edema of infancy [2] [3].

Unlike the adult population, children with urticaria and COVID-19 often do not present with any additional symptoms, and the urticarial rash characteristically undergoes complete resolution within 24 hours [2].

In addition to acute urticaria, other skin manifestations related to COVID-19 also include all lesions associated with vasculitis, such as Kawasaki disease, Henoch-Schönlein purpura (HSP)3,4 and Urticarial vasculitis (UV) [4].

While UV has only been observed in adult patients, two cases of HSP in pediatric patients during SARS-CoV- 2 infection have recently been described [1] [5].

The aim of our publication is to report a new presentation of the COVID-19 related HSP in pediatric age.
