Ein Befall mit dem Riesennierenwurm (Dioctophyma renale) ist in Deutschland extrem selten, sollte jedoch bei Hunden mit urologischen Symptomen und Auslandsanamnese in Betracht gezogen werden. Dieser Artikel bietet einen Überblick über klinisches Bild, Diagnose und Therapie dieser Nematodiasis einschließlich der Vorstellung eines aktuellen Praxisfalls.
