Dear readers, 

medicine and science are constantly changing and on an everlasting journey, especially in lymphology. “In everything we do in lymphology, we believe in challenging the status quo; we believe in thinking differently.” — The international conference ‘The Night of Lymphology 2023’ in Vienna, opened new perspectives, taught us innovative ideas and provided young scholars a platform to present their recent research projects. We are proud to share the work of the best scientific paper session winners ([Fig. 1]). We are grateful that “Phlebologie” grants young scholars this opportunity to communicate their work with the medical society.
