Akuter Schwindel gehört zu den häufigsten Leitsymptomen in der Notaufnahme. Wichtig ist die Unterscheidung zwischen gutartigen und potenziell lebensbedrohlichen Erkrankungen wie einem vestibulären Schlaganfall. Die Einteilung nach klinischer Präsentation vereinfacht die differenzialdiagnostischen Überlegungen. Dieser Artikel gibt praktische Handlungsanweisungen zu Anamnese, klinischer Untersuchung, diagnostischen Algorithmen und Therapieoptionen.
