Electrophotocatalysis (EPC), a developing scientific discipline, which has emerged
at the intersection of two highly active fields. By integrating photocatalytic, electrocatalytic
and transition-metal catalyzed processes via single-electron transfer (SET) mechanisms,
EPC approach enables efficient, selective, and sustainable synthetic transformations.
Herein, we summarize recent advances in metal-enabled EPC oxidative coupling reactions.
Although still in its early stage, this synergistic catalytic pattern demonstrates
remarkable potentials for advancing organic synthesis methodologies, particularly
offering promising applications in diverse late-stage functionalization strategies.
