Abstract

Several adsorbing agents (Talcum powder tablets, Quso, uncoated wood charcoal, Ficoll-coated charcoal) for separation of antibody-bound from free hormone in radioimmunoassays of insulin, growth hormone, ACTH, parathyroid hormone and calcitonin were compared. Under suitable conditions, the several adsorbing agents gave similar results with most of the hormones tested.
