Erfahrungen mit der operativen Behandlung der Trichterbrust*

Zusammenfassung

An Hand von 28 operierten Patienten mit Trichterbrust wird die Problematik der Behandlung aufgezeigt. Es werden die Ergebnisse der Operationsmethode nach M. Ravitch kritisch geprüft. Die Rezidivquote mit 11% liegt niedriger als im Schrifttum angegeben. Auf die Wichtigkeit der Kombination von Operation und postoperativer Heilgymnastik wird hingewiesen.

Summary

Based on experiences gained from 28 patients who underwent surgery for a funnel chest, the problems of the treatment of this deformity are pointed out. This is a critical analysis of the results obtained with the operative technique of Ravitch. The rate of recurrence was found to be 11 per cent and was lower than the one reported in world literature. Special emphasis is directed towards the importance of a combination of operation and postoperative gymnastics.

Résumé

Il s'agit de 28 patients, présentant un thorax en entonnoir. Nous montrons les problèmes que pose le traitement. Les résultats des opérations d'après la méthode de M. Ravitch sont analysés d'une façon critique. Avec 11% de récidive nous sommes en dessous du chiffre donné par la littérature. Nous insistons sur l'importance de la combinaison du traitement opératoire et de la gymnastique rééducative postopératoire.
