Zusammenfassung
Eine freie Perforation des Dünndarms bei Enteritis regionalis ist selten. Kurze Krankheitsdauer
und intestinale Obstruktion scheinen zu dieser Komplikation zu disponieren. Die Diagnose
kann schwierig sein, da bei der Mehrzahl der Patienten auf dem Röntgenbild keine freie
Luft nachweisbar ist. Diese diagnostischen Schwierigkeiten und das dadurch bedingte
verspätete Eingreifen sind wohl der Grund für eine Letalität von 25% bei den bislang
beobachteten Fällen.
Summary
Free perforation of the small intestine is rare in regional enteritis. Short duration
of .illness and intestinal obstruction apparently dispose towards this complication.
The diagnosis may be very difficult because in the majority of patients there is no
free air demonstrable in the X-ray film. This diagnostic difficulty and the resulting
late surgical intervention is probably the reason for the high death-rate of 25% in
reported cases.
