Rolltreppenverletzungen im Kindesalter

Zusammenfassung

In der Kinderchirurgischen Klinik des Kinderkrankenhauses in Köln wurden in den letzten drei Jahren 18 Kinderunfälle auf Fahrtreppen beobachtet, die sich nach Unfallmechanismus und Unfallfolgen in typische Rolltreppenverletzungen der Gesäßregion und Extremitätenverletzungen einteilen lassen. Es handelt sich in allen Fällen um Abscher- und Quetschverletzungen sowie teilweise um Frakturen, bei denen die Verletzungsart einen weitgehend begründeten Rückschluß auf die verschiedenen unfallauslösenden Gefahrenzonen einer Rolltreppe erlaubt. Das Alter der verletzten Kinder lag zwischen zwei und fünf Jahren.

Summary

Within the last three years 18 children were admitted to the Paediatric-Surgical Clinic of the Children's Hospital in Cologne because of injuries after falling down on an escalator. According to the exact mechanism of the accident and the resulting injuries, typical forms of injury of the buttocks and extremities could be identified. In all instances they were shear and crush injuries, in addition to some cases of fracture. The form of these injuries made it possible to identify the various danger zones of an escalator which had caused the injury.

Traumatismos por las escaleras mecánicas en la infancia

En la clínica de cirugía infantil del hospital pediátrico de Colonia se observaron en los últimos tres años 18 accidentes infantiles provocados por escaleras mecánicas que, según el mecanismo y las consecuencias del accidente, se pueden clasificar en traumatismos típicos de las escaleras mecánicas de la región glútea y de las extremidades. En todos los casos se trata de traumatismos por tijeretazo y por magullamiento, así como también en parte de fracturas, en las que el tipo de traumatismo permite sacar conclusiones, ampliamente fundadas, sobre las diferentes partes peligrosas de una escalera mecánica Causantes de traumatismos. La edad de los niños traumatizados oscilaba entre los dos y cinco años.
