Akute Meningomyelitis durch Toxocara-Larven

Zusammenfassung

Als klinisch bisher nicht beobachtete Form eines »Larva-migrans-visceralis-Syndroms« wurde eine akute, weitgehend reversible Meningomyelitis bei einem 25jährigen Mann festgestellt. Daneben bestand über sechs Wochen ein antibiotikaresistentes Lungeninfiltrat mit Begleitpleuritis. Während weniger Tage fand sich im Beginn eine Liquor-Eosinophilie, später vorübergehend eine geringe Blut-Eosinophilie. Eine Leberbeteiligung fehlte. Im Serum wurden präzipitierende Antikörper gegen Toxocara-canis-Antigen nachgewiesen.

Summary

A clinically not previously described form of the visceral larva migrans syndrome occurred in a 25-year-old man with acute onset of reversible meningomyelitis. Additionally there was a lung infiltrate with pleuritis, lasting over six weeks and resistant to antibiotics. Within a few days of onset of the disease there was at first cerebrospinal fluid eosinophilia, later transitory blood eosinophilia. The liver was not involved. Precipitating antibodies against Toxocara canis antigen were demonstrated in the serum.

Meningomielitis aguda por larvas de Toxocara

Como forma clínica y hasta ahora no observada de un »síndrome de larva-migrans-visceralis« se constató en un hombre de 25 años de edad una meningomielitis aguda ampliamente reversible, existiendo al mismo tiempo y durante más de seis semanas un infiltrado pulmonar resistente a los antibióticos con pleuritis acompañante. Durante pocos días del comienzo se encontró una eosinofilia en el líquido cefalorraquídeo y más tarde una eosinofilia en sangre ligera y transitoria. No hubo participación hepática. En el suero se constataron anticuerpos precipitantes frente al antígeno de la Toxocara canis.
