Die thorakale Myelographie mit wasserlöslichen Kontrastmitteln (Metrizamide)

Zusammenfassung

Die Anwendbarkeit eines wäßrigen Kontrastmittels für die thorakale spinale Diagnostik ist durch Metrizamide (Amipaque^®) ermöglicht worden. Eine modifizierte Untersuchungstechnik gegenüber bisher Bekanntem bei öligen Kontrastmitteln erbringt eine ausgezeichnete Detailerkennbarkeit intraspinaler Strukturen und pathologischer Veränderungen. Bei guter Verträglichkeit, insbesondere fehlender Reizung des Rückenmarkes, sind die diagnostischen Resultate als optimal anzusehen.

Summary

The use of water-soluble contrast media for thoracic myelography has become possible with the introduction of Metrizamide (Amipaque). A modification of the technique used with oily contrast media results in excellent demonstration of detail of intraspinal structures and of pathological changes. The medium is well tolerated and does not cause irritation of the spinal cord; the results must be regarded as excellent.
